Review – Tory Burch Kaitlin Flats

tory burch kaitlin flats fall 2012

Hi Everyone!

Since I promised a review of the Tory Burch Kaitlin flats here it is!

I love the bow they put on the Tory Burch shoe boxes, it’s a really nice touch! You’ll see in a later picture what I used the bow for…haha.

I’m not really sure why they ripped off the price from the box, it’s not like it’s a secret.

I love the overall quilted design of the shoe and the contrast of the gold cap toe, it looks very Chanel inspired to me. LOVE IT!

It definitely looks great in the pictures online, but it looks even better in person. I really love the contrast of the gold cap toe and the quilted texture of the leather.

Tory Burch did a great job incorporating her own logo into the gold cap toe, it doesn’t look as ostentatious as her classic Reva flats, but it’s still undeniably Tory Burch.

They’re very comfortable on! The shoe really conforms to the shape of your foot. My only complaint is that they’re kind of stiff when I first wore them but this has happened with all of my Tory Burch flats. I wore them out on date night with my boyfriend to watch Looper ( AMAZING movie BTW if you haven’t seen it, definitely worth watching in theaters), and my right heel had a blister by the end of the night. I don’t want to make excuses for the shoes since I love them so much, but I have really sensitive skin on my ankles, so this may not happen to everyone. Also, the 6 was true to size.

I put the bow on the shoe box to good use! Miya didn’t like her new accessory as much as I liked it though…she kept clawing at it so I had to take it off eventually.

All in all, I’m really loving these Tory Burch flats. I have more pairs of black flats than I dare to admit, but these Kaitlin flats are definitely unique and well worth the $265 price tag. I will be getting a lot of wear out of these flats for the next few years for sure. I’m already compiling potential outfits to wear with them!! They also come in nude, and sand if you’re interested in getting them in another color.

I can’t believe it’s almost Halloween!!!

I hope everyone has a great week!!!

Great TB flats. I know this is kind of an older post but did you find that the toe caps get scratched up or dented. I realize you have to be care but with normal wear and tear how did they stand up? I’m a huge TB Reva fan. This is my collection

    Thanks for sharing your blog.

      Hi Brian!

Thanks for visiting! You have a great TB collection!! Regarding your question about preventing scratches and dents, I honestly don’t do anything special to prevent damage to the cap toe. I’ve been wearing the gold cap toe TBs for a while now and they still look amazing! I see that they’re available again this fall and I’m super excited because I totally wanted to get them in other colors. Don’t worry too much about potential wear and tear, unless you’re really dragging the tips of your shoes through some extremely abrasive material I think they’ll look great for a long time to come. I appreciate you taking the time out and commenting!

        Hi Deb.

Thank you for your kind words. The Katlin flats are pretty amazing looking and I will get a pair soon now that they have been launched again. They do come in some pretty awesome colours and I love the quilted look. As for the top caps, I think I’d make out OK since all my Revas still look like new on the toes. I did have a serious look at the Katlins a few weeks ago during the Tory Burch Friends and Fans 25% off sale. My sales associate at the TB boutique had a black pair on and they looked amazing. I ended up getting a pair of the newly (relaunched) Pacey flats in black. They have a black patent toe cap similar to the gold toe cap on the Katlins. Have you seen them? Since I already have a good collection of TB Reva flats and TB Eddie flats I’ve decided to start branching out to other TB styles. I’m sure I will have a pair of Katlins soon. Here’s a few pictures of my new Pacey flats.

Thanks for sharing your great blog.
