The summer neon trend will soon have to make way for fall’s scarlet hues. I’ve been seeing red (no pun intended) in almost all of the Fall 2012 catalogues, and designer collections.
Personally, I think color is a great way to keep a wardrobe up to date, while not sacrificing personal style. Try and look for styles and silhouettes that fit your aesthetic, you don’t have to sacrifice your own unique look just to play with seasonal trends. If a color is too bright to wear as a primary component of your outfit, try and look for smaller accent pieces like jewelry, or shoes to amplify your everyday look.
I have some examples of how scarlet may be incorporated into your own look, from the most bold head to toe scarlet Valentino ensemble to accent pieces in the fiery red hue. The idea isn’t that you have to go out and get super expensive designer stuff to stay on trend, there are similar styles in all price ranges! Have fun with it!
