I went furniture shopping last weekend for my new apartment, and ended up going to Nordstrom to check out their anniversary sale. The prices are surprisingly good! I wanted to show everyone what I got, since I love watching and reading about hauls myself!
Till August 6 – $229, After – $350
I REALLY love these! I was looking to buy the FRYE Veronica short boot initially, but I came across these as I was perusing in the shoe department. They’re a lot less lived in looking than the FRYE ones, but they’re SUPER comfortable, and extremely well constructed. I love the gold buckle detail and the diagonal gold zipper on the other side of the boot. They’re a great fit for my gangly legs, it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a pair that’s 5 sizes too big. The shaft of the boot is the perfect height as well, they’re meant to be short boots and I think it’s going to look super flattering with a great pair of skinny jeans. I’ve got my eye on a pair of red/burgundy ones for fall!
Clinique Moisture Surge Home & Away Anniversary Duo
Till August 6 – $60, Value – $103
I got a free full size sample of this Clinique moisture surge product a few months back from Sephora, and it’s AMAZING. I’ve tried many many day time moisturizers across the board in terms of brands and this one beats them all. I’m not even talking about JUST products that are in the same price point as this one, I mean everything I’ve ever tried. I have oily/combination skin, so it’s hard for me to find something that will keep my skin moisturized without looking like I slathered my face with peanut oil. I never really considered Clinique for moisturizer, although I absolutely adore their even better clinical dark spot corrector. The first day I used this product though, it was like night and day. Usually by the time I wash my face at night, the skin on my cheeks feels super dry and uncomfortable, and my makeup looks like it’s settled into every nook and cranny on my face. GROSS. When I used this moisturizer though…by the end of the night my makeup still looked perfect, and my skin wasn’t uncomfortable AT ALL. Sooo…yeah. Granted, this isn’t the only thing I use, I just added it to my morning routine. The free full size 2 oz sample I got has lasted me a good 6 months and I still have 1/3 of it left. It’s a great deal to get both of these for $60 so I had to get it.
Perricone MD Cold Plasma
$150 – Double Points (last weekend)
This is another product that’s OMG amazing. It’s a moisturizer that’s applied first before anything else, it’s anti aging, and it acts as a delivery system for whatever product is applied on top of it. I’ve notice a dramatic difference in the quality and texture of my skin since I started using Cold Plasma. I just finished my first bottle of it yesterday, and considering there’s only 1 oz of product for $150, the results I’ve gotten from using it has made the price worth it for sure. It lasted me 6 months, so it only comes out to $.82 cents per application. Compared to other moisturizers in this price range, this is by far the best one I’ve used. I don’t care about how pretty the bottle is, as long as it does what it claims, that’s all I can ask!
I hope everyone has a great Thursday!!
