I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!
I came across this AMAZING french nail artist online, and I couldn’t keep this wonderful nail blog to myself!
My favorite chic and simple nail design from her blog are these ombre effect Nails!
This look can be achieved by first applying one color all over the nail, and a second color with a sponge on just the tip of the nail. The sponge is a great tool for creating the ombre effect since it blends the two polishes together into a haze where they meet.

Here are some other amazing examples of ombre nails that I found online!
Pink to Blue Ombre
Neon Ombre Nails
This one comes with a great tutorial on how to achieve the ombre effect!
Black to Beige Ombre Nails
This one is SUPER chic with neutral beige on black.
Reverse Ombre with Glitter
I absolutely adore this one! Definitely going to give this a shot after I get tired of my current gel nails (tutorial for gel nails coming soon!)
Blue Glitter Ombre Nail
Love the gradient on this one! Absolutely perfect to do with gel as well since it’ll grow out nicely.
Watercolor Effect Ombre Nails By American Apparel
American Apparel recently got on the ombre nail trend with their new line of sheer polishes in six bright and colorful shades. I’m not too sure about the sheer look of the polish, but I love the effect of the varying ombre color combinations on the model’s fingers.
I’m excited to give ombre nails a try! It’s not a super new trend but it’s definitely one that will last through the summer and the autumn season to come.
Have a great week!
