Since I haven’t posted anything about nails recently, I decided to overcompensate and put up three separate nail polish combos that I wore over the past few weeks! The predominant color trends for the spring/summer this year seem to favor pale pastels on one end of the spectrum and bright neons on the other end. So here are my take on the pastel and neon trends translated into nail polish!
Essie in To Buy Or Not To Buy (lilac) and Essie in Pure Pearlfection Luxeffects (shimmery silver) – for this look, I just layered Pure Pearlfection over To Buy Or Not To Buy to add more visual interest to the lilac color. Although To Buy Or Not To Buy does have shimmer in it, it doesn’t show up once you put it on the nail.
Essie in Navigate Her (pistachio) and Essie in Luxeffects Pure Pearlfection – Same idea here as above, I think the silver glitter adds a subtle sheen and interest to the creamy pastel color of Navigate Her.
Julep nail polish in Meryl (gray) and China Glaze polish in Yellow Polka Dot Bikini (neon yellow) – I wanted to make the neon yellow more wearable, so I basically just did what I do when I wear my new pair of day glo yellow jeans from Zara … which is to pair it with a neutral tone like gray.
Not related but still SUPER AWESOME…..
My fav birthday present! Although it’s not my birthday yet…I just received my new iMac in the mail and I’m SUPER EXCITED. No more craning my neck to stare at my MacbookPro screen for 8 hours a day! Now I can edit pictures and make blog posts with ease!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
