I went a little bit online shopping crazy over the past week….so there will be tons of haul posts to come! Below are two pairs of shoes that I ended up purchasing for spring/summer 2012! I purchased quite a few pairs of shoes, but these are the two that arrived this week. Overall I’m sticking to more neutral tones with my shoes this year because I’ve fallen in love with brights and neons for spring and summer, so I need to keep it toned down in the shoe department (the flats below are an exception of course lol).
As seen below, these are my first pair of Shoemint shoes! I loved the bold colors in this color block flat the second I saw these on their website, so I had to get them! They’re absolutely perfect for the spring because I’m so into bright colors right now even though it’s super out of character for me. I usually stick to deeper jewel tones as these colors look best on my asian skin tone (according to Barbizon…the modeling school I went to in middle-high school…that’s a story for another day.) These are super comfortable, and look great with a more neutral toned outfit if you want them to really pop. I wore it with some black skinny jeans and a flowy waterfall button-down black shirt the other day to school. They were $60 something with the 20% first time purchase discount code I used.
I purchased these Jeffrey Campbell platforms on Nasty Gal, they’re the Bette Platform Wedge in tan suede. Unfortunately they’re sold out right now, but they were $135. I LOVE these! I wanted a nude wedge like this because it’s easier for me to walk in than a pair of nude pumps and I think it’ll go really well with bright colored maxi skirts and neon yellow pants (both of which I’ve recently purchased). They’re easy to walk in due to the large platform in the front and the relatively large surface area of the sole. I’m excited to whip these out when it gets warmer in LA.
Now for the sneak peak of a new jewelry business I’m a partner in!!!
I’m SUPER excited about it because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the rings that we’ve designed and I hope everyone will love them as well!!! I love colorful jewelry so I had to go with beautiful and trendy shades of blues, pinks, purples amongst other colors in a simple and chic setting!! All are made of 18K gold vermeil over 925 sterling silver! The braille ring on my pointer finger is by Erica Anenberg and it says “love is blind.”
I will do a detailed post about the whole thing soon! I just wanted to post a sneak peek to whet everyone’s appetite! YAYYYY I’m so excited!!!
Have an awesome week!
