I’m SUPER excited to finally share my own swatches and thoughts on the Revlon Colorburst lip butters with everyone!
In the beginning I only purchased three just to try out, but I loved them so much I ended up getting a total of 8 – all of which are pictured below!
Colors from left to right: Creamsicle, Tuttifrutti, Cherry Tart, Candy Apple, Berry Smoothie, Sweet Tart, Strawberry Shortcake, Cupcake
The second time I went to Walgreens in search of more colors I purchased the ones seen below.
The colors from left to right:
I just picked up Berry Smoothie a few days ago, so I didn’t get a chance to wear it, but here’s a swatch of it. I love this color, I think it’s the closest to my natural lip color out of all of them. I’ll most definitely be wearing this one most often.
On a scale of 1 – 10, with 10 being the best…
I’d give these a solid 9
It has a great range of colors, and the texture of the lip butter is very smooth and creamy. It also stays smooth and creamy on the lips over time, unlike many other drugstore lipsticks. Unless you wipe it with something, the color tends to stay well on the lips.
The only reason why I gave these lip butters a 9 and not a 10 is because the packaging is SUPER flimsy, and is prone to cracking and breaking without much force. Other than that, I think the little clear window at the top of the packaging is genius. It’s so much easier to see what the actual color of the lipstick is when you can see through the packaging, instead of having to guess based on the exterior color.
This is definitely a great product for those of you out there that aren’t really into lipstick, but would like to transition from lip balms and chapsticks to lipsticks. The application is foolproof since the pigmentation isn’t that dense, so you can control the depth of the color depending on how much you apply.
All in all, really great drugstore product. I most definitely recommend!!
I hope everyone has a great Presidents Day!
